Cecchetti Study Resources
Cecchetti Classical Ballet is as relevant today as when the Method was first created. There are a wide range of resources available to those who are studying the Cecchetti Method, whether as very young children at the start of their learning, through to vocational students and on to those who will enter the profession as dancers or teachers.
Original printed resources recording the method created by Enrico Cecchetti and produced by Cyril Beaumont are still available, as well as current Cecchetti resources from the ISTD Shop. These include Syllabi for Children’s Grade and Class Exams, Vocational Syllabi for students and specifications for Teaching Qualifications, along with music and film resources to accompany syllabi. The Cecchetti Society Trust recognises that, to preserve the method, resources in contemporary formats are needed to make the work accessible to new generations of dancers and teachers. The Trust is actively engaged in the production of resources in formats for today’s learners. The filming of the Enrico Cecchetti Diploma working with dancers from Birmingham Royal Ballet and The Royal Ballet is an example of this aspect of the Trust’s work. Originally produced as a DVD, the Trust is delighted that a digital download is also now available. To learn more go to Cecchetti Diploma
