Cecchetti Society Trust Small & General Grants

The Cecchetti Society Trust offers a range of grants to support events, activities or projects (together, Activity/Activities) that will extend opportunities for Cecchetti teachers and their pupils, promote the Cecchetti Method and encourage collaborative working.  Each application is judged on its merits, in particular whether the purpose of the application aligns with the Trust’s objective to encourage, support and promote participation in Cecchetti classical ballet.  Cecchetti Society Small and General Grants are not intended to support individual study for Cecchetti Teachers or Students.    The Trust offers Teachers Study Bursaries and Student Study Bursaries for individual studies and further information about these may be found at Teachers Study Bursaries and Student Study Bursaries

Grant Applications will next be invited for activities that that take place between 1st September 2026 and 31st August 2027.   Information will be posted on this page.

CST Small Grants - up to £1,000

A small grant is available on a one-off basis for up to a maximum of £1,000 in the year of application to enable an event, activity or project to go ahead.  Examples might include (but are not limited to):-

  • A competition for young dancers from local/regional Cecchetti Schools

  • A short local/regional Cecchetti Course for teachers and/or students

  • A short local/regional Cecchetti Lecture Demonstration with professional artists/lecturers

CST General Grants - over £1,000

A General Grant is for an award of over £1,000 (Applications for up to £1,000 for a one off activity should be made via a Small Grant Application). General grants are intended for those individuals or organisations planning a larger scale event, activity or project.  Grants
range from individual, block or multi-year awards towards specific costs.  Examples might include (but are not limited to):-

  • A competition for young dancers from National/International Cecchetti Schools

  • An extended Cecchetti Course for teachers and/or students

  • A Cecchetti Lecture Demonstration with professional artists/Lecturers

  • A Cecchetti training programme for young dancers

  • The production of a training resource or recording of Cecchetti work
