The Cecchetti Society Trust
From Studio to Stage 2025
A Celebration of Barbara Fewster OBE and Richard Glasstone MBE

The Cecchetti Society Trust presented From Studio to Stage on 11th May 2025 at The Royal Ballet School, Covent Garden. The programme for the afternoon showcased a range of work supported by the Trust and was dedicated to two exceptional Cecchetti teachers, Barbara Fewster OBE and Richard Glasstone MBE. Elisabeth Swan, Chair of the Trust introduced the afternoon programme to a capacity audience of teachers, students, parents and public. The Trust was honoured to welcome our Trust Patron and former Director of The Royal Ballet, Dame Monica Mason and guest participants Ruth Brill, Jessica Clarke, Matthew Hawkins, Christopher Saunders, Diane van Schoor and Lynn Wallis OBE. Young dancers who performed were the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Scholars and students from vocational training schools who won prestigious Trust Scholarships in 2024/25. The programme concluded with young artists of The Royal Ballet being coached by Christopher Saunders and then performing the pas de deux from Ashton’s Rhapsody, accompanied by Philip Gammon. The full Programme is given below.
