Cecchetti Legacy diploma dvd Project
Filming the enrico cecchetti Diploma Work

The legacy of Enrico Cecchetti is unique and the Cecchetti Society Trust had long wanted to be able to record the most advanced Cecchetti work for future generations, but such a project was ambitious and expensive. The project aim was to film the Diploma work in a heritage DVD. As well as being a vital teaching support for Cecchetti teachers and students, the DVD is intended to be an accessible resource for anyone wishing to learn more about the rich Cecchetti legacy.

The Cecchetti Society Trust was greatly indebted to a small group of very generous Cecchetti ‘friends’ - the Cecchetti Legacy Fundraising Group - who undertook a huge fundraising campaign to realise the project.

The filming was undertaken by Ross McGibbon and the Artistic Director was Diane van Schoor. The work was accompanied by Roland Thompson. Dancers appeared with kind permission of Sir David Bintley the then Artistic Director, Birmingham Royal Ballet and Kevin O’Hare CBE, Artistic Director, The Royal Ballet.
