About the App

The Cecchetti Society Trust has developed the Cecchetti Method App to provide resources in digital format. The first resource available to purchase and download within the App is the Enrico Cecchetti Diploma DVD.

What is included?

There are four packages which contain Chapters II – X from the Enrico Cecchetti Diploma DVD. These are:

Package I:  Chapters II Port de Bras including Traditional Centre Practice and IV Centre Pirouettes
Package II:  Chapter III Adage
Package III:  Chapter V Allegro
Package IV:  Chapters VI En Diagonale, VII Autour de la Salle, VIII Supplementary Pointe Steps, IX Steps for Men and X Révérence

Each package has a Taster which offers a free preview of the content before purchase. These are shown at the beginning of the package:

Package I:  Chapter II Port de Bras Exercise B — 2nd Set of Port de Bras (Exercises 5–8)
Package II:  Chapter III Adage Monday/Saturday Exercise A — Grand Fouetté
Package III:  Chapter V Allegro Saturday Des Grand Fouettés Sautés Exercise 3 — Temps levé, chassé en arrière (twice), temps levé posé (twice), jeté élancé to attitude, pas de bourrée renversé, assemblé coupé derrière, entrechat six
Package IV:  Chapter VIII Supplementary Pointe Steps Exercise 1 - Échappé, relevé to 4th devant croisé, trois jetés piqués, assemblé devant.

Other free content includes an introduction by Dame Darcey Bussell DBE, interviews and discussions with the Master Teacher, dancers, and Directors of The Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet, plus information about Maestro Cecchetti, the Method,the Trust, and supporting resources. A companion booklet can be accessed through the app, and can be downloaded as a PDF.

What does it cost?

Each package can be purchased individually for £20 within the app,or all four a discounted price of £65.
