Vocational Classical Ballet Awards 2025/26

The Cecchetti Society Trust is pleased to offer eligible young dancers from the UK and Internationally the exciting opportunity to participate in these Awards. The Awards incorporate the Fewster Cecchetti Scholarship, the Barbara Geoghegan Award and the Cyril Beaumont Scholarship.
Competition Prizes - the competition offers generous monetary awards provided by the Trust to support classical ballet training. The Fewster Cecchetti Scholarship, the Barbara Geoghegan Award and Cyril Beaumont winners’ prizes are £2,000 each, to be used for continued training in classical ballet. There are also other generous monetary prizes for the Runners Up and a number of other competition Awards.
Competition Eligibility - The Cecchetti Society Trust Vocational Awards are open to students in the UK and internationally who meet the relevant criteria and are aged between 14 years and under 21 years on 1st September 2025. Students who are in full time vocational training and either already hold an Intermediate or higher ISTD Cecchetti qualification (this may have been gained prior to entry to their current school/college), or who are studying ISTD Cecchetti work at their vocational school/college in the academic year 2025/26 are eligible to enter. Students who are not yet in full time vocational training who hold the Advanced 1 ISTD Cecchetti Examination or higher as a dancer, are eligible to enter the Fewster Cecchetti Scholarship only. Specific eligibility for each award (including age, level of Cecchetti study and examination requirements) is given in the Terms & Conditions.
Competition Format - All competitors will all participate in an adjudicated ballet class onstage at Advanced 1 Level containing free unset work and specified traditional Cecchetti exercises. Those entered for the Barbara Geoghegan Award and Cyril Beaumont Scholarship will also perform a solo classical variation. Two Adjudicators appointed by the Cecchetti Society Trust will adjudicate the Awards.
