Welcome to the Cecchetti Society Trust Newsletter

We are delighted to announce that the Trust will be presenting From Studio to Stage on 11th May 2025 at The Royal Ballet School, Covent Garden. With a programme of lecture demonstrations, interviews, and performances from young dancers and professional artists, it promises to be an inspiring afternoon. The event is dedicated to the memory of two exceptional Cecchetti teachers, Richard Glasstone MBE and Barbara Fewster OBE.

The deadline to apply for a CST Teachers Study Bursary is 1st March 2025. Bursaries are to support teachers at all levels of study, from those at the start of their training to experienced teachers, so please share this opportunity with colleagues.

CST Small & General Grants were introduced for the first time this academic year and the Trust is pleased to have supported a variety of exciting Cecchetti project initiatives. Grant Applications are now invited for the academic year 2025/26 and it is an opportunity for individuals or organisations planning Cecchetti events or projects to apply for support.

From Studio to Stage
Presented by Cecchetti Society Trust

The Cecchetti Society Trustees cordially invite you to attend From Studio to Stage on 11th May 2025 at The Royal Ballet School, Covent Garden - 12.45 - 17.30 (times tbc). The event will showcase some of the work the Trust supports, including performances by the Cecchetti Scholars, the CICB Competition 2024 and Vocational Awards 2024/25 winners and professional artists. The programme will also include tributes to Richard Glasstone and Barbara Fewster from a panel of distinguished guests. During the afternoon there will be the opportunity to socialise with colleagues and guests over afternoon tea.

From Studio to Stage is open to Cecchetti teachers, students (minimum age 11 years) and to all ballet lovers who would like to know more about Cecchetti and the work of the Trust. Tickets will be on sale from 12th April 2025 priced £40.00 (Adult), £25.00 (Concessions). Teachers Study Bursaries 2025 Application Deadline! 1st March 2025

The Cecchetti Society Trust has a range of bursaries given annually to support teachers in their study of the Cecchetti Method of classical ballet. So if you are intending to further your professional development in 2025 with regular study, or attendance at a holiday course or summer school, or through taking an examination, a Trust bursary could help you achieve this aim. Applications are welcomed from those studying ISTD Cecchetti in the UK and Internationally.

Applications for CST Teachers Study Bursaries 2025 (for study in the period January 2025 - December 2025) are now open.

Small & General Grants 2025
Applications Open

The Cecchetti Society Trust is inviting applications for Small Grants (up to £1,000) and General Grants (over £1,000) for the academic year 2025/26.  The Grants are to support events, activities or projects that will extend opportunities for Cecchetti learners beyond an individual school/teacher/student.  Applications are now invited and further information about Grants including Terms & Conditions, Application Forms and deadlines can be found on our website using the button link below
