Trustees hope all our readers are enjoying some warm spring sunshine as we head towards the Easter weekend! On 11th May 2025 we are looking forward to welcoming many of you to our event From Studio to Stage at The Royal Ballet School, Covent Garden. Tickets are on sale, so please book yours now!

The Trust continues to support teachers and students in their personal study of Cecchetti work and has been pleased to allocate a number of 2025 Teacher Study Bursaries. We are now inviting a second round of applications and further information is given below.

The application deadlines for Student Summer Study Bursaries 2025 and auditions for Cecchetti Scholars 2025/26 are in early May, so please don’t miss these opportunities for young dancers to apply.

Applications are also invited for CST Small or General Grants for the academic year 2025/26. To find out more about these project grants please join Elisabeth Swan at an online meeting on 30th April 2025.

Cecchetti Society Trustees cordially invite you to attend From Studio to Stage on 11th May 2025 at The Royal Ballet School, Covent Garden - 13.15 - 17.30 with coffee and registration from 12.30. The event will showcase some of the work the Trust supports and is dedicated to the memory of two exceptional Cecchetti teachers - Barbara Fewster OBE and Richard Glasstone MBE. The programme includes: -

Ticket Booking From Studio to Stage is open to Cecchetti teachers, students (minimum age 11 years) and to all ballet lovers who would like to know more about Cecchetti and the work of the Trust. Tickets are on sale priced £40.00 (Adult), £25.00 (Concessions 11-18 years ) and can be purchased using the button link below.

Teacher Study Bursaries 2025
Applications Open!

The Trust Bursary Award Panel has been pleased to allocate a number of 2025 Teachers Study Bursaries and a second round of applications are now invited.   There are a range of bursaries given at all levels to support teachers in their study of Cecchetti classical ballet. So for those intending to further their professional development in 2025 with regular study, or attendance at a holiday course or summer school, or through taking an examination, a Trust bursary could help achieve this aim. Applications are welcomed from those studying ISTD Cecchetti in the UK and Internationally.

Student Summer Study Bursaries Application Deadline - 12th May 2025

The Trust is offering Student Summer Study Bursaries to support young dancers who are attending a Cecchetti Summer School or an intensive course of Cecchetti study in the coming months. Students must be aged 9 - 21 years by the 31st August 2025 and studying at ISTD Cecchetti Grade 5 /Class Exam 5 level up to Diploma level. Applications are open to students studying ISTD Cecchetti in the UK and Internationally. Bursary categories are up to £500 (residential courses) and up to £300 (non residential courses). Cecchetti Scholars Audition 2025/26
Application Deadline - 7th May 2025

The Cecchetti Classical Ballet Scholarship Scheme offers talented young dancers outstanding training and performance experience. The scheme is funded by the Cecchetti Society Trust and organised by the Cecchetti Society Classical Ballet Faculty, ISTD. Applications are now open for the Cecchetti Scholars Auditions for entry for the academic year 2025/26. The Auditions will take place on: Saturday 10th May at Arts Educational School, Chiswick London - start time of 13:00. (Exact audition times will be confirmed nearer the time).

Small & General Grants 2025
Online Meeting - 30th April 10.00am

The Cecchetti Society Trust is inviting applications for Small Grants (up to £1,000) and General Grants (over £1,000) for the academic year 2025/26.  The Grants are to support events, activities or projects that will extend opportunities for Cecchetti learners beyond an individual school/teacher/student. 

If you would like to learn more about these grants or have any questions, Elisabeth Swan, Chair of the Trust will host an online Zoom meeting on Wednesday 30th April 2025 at 10.00am (GMT). If you wish to attend the meeting please email: admin@cecchettisocietytrust.org and we will send the Zoom link.
