Welcome to the Cecchetti Society Trust Newsletter

On Sunday 11th May 2025 we are looking forward to welcoming many readers to our event From Studio to Stage at The Royal Ballet School, Covent Garden. Details of the inspiring programme are below and tickets are selling fast, so do book yours now!

The Trust continues to support teachers, students and organisations in their study, research or promotion of the Cecchetti work. Application deadlines for three strands of Trust support are given below, so don’t miss the opportunity to apply.

Student Summer Study Bursaries Application Deadline - 12th May 2025

The Trust is offering Student Summer Study Bursaries to support young dancers who are attending a Cecchetti Summer School or an intensive course of Cecchetti study in the coming months. Students must be aged 9 - 21 years by the 31st August 2025 and studying at ISTD Cecchetti Grade 5 /Class Exam 5 level up to Diploma level. Applications are open to students studying ISTD Cecchetti in the UK and Internationally. Bursary categories are up to £500 (residential courses) and up to £300 (non residential courses). Teacher Study Bursaries
Application Deadline - 9th June 2025

The Trust Teacher Study Bursaries offer a range of bursaries given at all levels to support teachers in their study of Cecchetti classical ballet. So for those intending to further their professional development in 2025 with regular study, or attendance at a holiday course or summer school, or through taking an examination, a Trust bursary

could help achieve this aim. Applications are welcomed from those studying ISTD Cecchetti in the UK and Internationally. Terms & Conditions and an Application Form are available using the button link below. Applications must be returned by Monday 9th June 2025 to: admin@cecchettisocietytrust.org

Small & General Grants 2025
Application Deadline - 15th June 2025

The Cecchetti Society Trust is inviting applications for Small Grants (up to £1,000) and General Grants (over £1,000) for the academic year 2025/26. The Grants are to support events, activities or projects that will extend opportunities for Cecchetti learners beyond an individual school/teacher/student.

Applications are now invited and further information about Grants including Terms & Conditions, Application Forms and deadlines can be found on our website using the button link below.
The application deadline is 15th June 2025.

Ruth Brill Interview

Ruth Brill is a trustee of the Cecchetti Society Trust. In an interview with Jacqueline Lewis for the ISTD Dance magazine, Ruth shares the important influence of her Cecchetti training, firstly as a child and vocational student, then later in her successful career as a professional dancer and choreographer.
